Meet the artist
Hi, I'm [YOUR NAME]. I make the photo you wish you'd taken.
Every True Companion portrait is made by me, by hand, at my desk in [YOUR CITY]. Usually with one Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever asleep on my feet and another one supervising.
Why I started
It started with two photos on my phone.
One was [TOLLER 1'S NAME] at [AGE] weeks old, all ears and paws, asleep in [WHERE]. The other was taken last week: the same dog, grown up, grey creeping into [HER MUZZLE OR ANOTHER DETAIL]. I kept flipping between them and thought, I wish I could see them together.
So I made it. I spent [HOW LONG] matching the light, the fur and the angle until puppy [TOLLER 1'S NAME] was sitting right beside grown-up [TOLLER 1'S NAME]. When I showed it to [WHO], they went quiet, then teared up. That's when I knew other dog people would want this too.

How I work
I know your dog isn't just any dog.
I study the details
The cowlick on their chest. The ear that never quite stands up. I match markings, fur and light so both ages look photographed together.
Every portrait, by hand
No templates, no one-click filters. Each portrait takes me several hours of careful editing, and I won't send it until it makes me feel something too.
Limited spots, on purpose
I take a small number of portraits each month so each one gets my full attention. You still get yours in about a week, with no waitlist.
A dog person first
I spend my days thinking about dogs.
Before True Companion Studio, I was already deep in the dog world, helping owners understand why their dogs do what they do. That understanding goes into every portrait I make.
