These terms apply when you order from True Companion Studio ("we", "us") at truecompanionstudio.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.
What we make
We create custom digital portraits that combine photos of your dog as a puppy and as an adult into one image. Each portrait is an artistic composite made by hand from the photos you provide. It is a piece of art, not a documentary photograph.
Orders and payment
- All prices are in US dollars (USD). Your bank may convert the price if you pay in another currency.
- Payment is due in full when you order.
- We accept a limited number of orders each month.
Your photos
- After ordering, you send us one puppy photo and one recent photo by replying to your order confirmation email.
- By sending photos, you confirm that you took them or have permission to use them.
- We check every photo before we start. If a photo won't work, we'll ask for another. [If none of your photos can work, we'll refund your order in full.]
Turnaround
- Standard portraits are delivered by email within 5–7 business days after we receive usable photos.
- Rush delivery is within 3 business days after we receive usable photos.
- Print orders ship after you approve your digital portrait. Shipping times are estimates and depend on the carrier.
Previews and revisions
- We email you a preview before your final file.
- One revision is included. A revision is a change to the portrait we made, such as the background, crop, position, size or colour.
- Extra revisions are $20 USD each. A completely new pose or concept counts as an extra version ($49 USD).
- Please request your revision within [14 days] of your preview. After that, we'll send your final file as it is.
Refunds
- Before we start editing, you can cancel for a full refund.
- Because each portrait is custom work, we can't offer refunds once editing has started. We'll work with you through your included revision to get it right.
- If a print arrives damaged or with a printing defect, send us a photo within [7 days] of delivery and we'll replace it.
Gift certificates
Gift certificates are delivered by email, can be used for any portrait, and don't expire. They can't be exchanged for cash.
Using your portrait
- We keep the copyright to each portrait we create.
- You may print, frame, share on social media and use your portrait as a phone or computer background for personal use. Credit to @truecompanionstudio is appreciated but not required.
- You may not sell your portrait, use it in products for sale, or use it in advertising without our written permission.
- We share portraits in our gallery and on social media only with your permission, given at checkout or in writing. You can withdraw permission at any time.
Liability
We take great care with every portrait. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in place when you ordered applies to your order.
