True Companion Studio ("we", "us") makes custom puppy-to-adult dog portraits. This policy explains what personal information we collect through truecompanionstudio.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are based in Alberta, Canada.

What we collect

- Contact details: your name and email address when you order, contact us, or join our email list.

- Order details: what you bought, the answers you give at checkout (such as your dog's name and breed), and, for print orders, your shipping address.

- Payment information: payments are processed by our checkout and payment providers ([e.g. Squarespace Payments, Stripe, PayPal]). We never see or store your full card number.

- Your photos: the photos of your dog that you send us, and any details you share about your dog.

- Website data: like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools from Squarespace [and Meta, if you use the Meta Pixel] to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising.

How we use it

- To make and deliver your portrait, and to contact you about your order.

- To answer your questions.

- To send our email newsletter, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

- To improve our website and understand which marketing works.

Your portrait and photos

We use your photos only to make your portrait. We share your finished portrait in our gallery or on social media only if you say yes at checkout or tell us in writing. You can change your mind at any time and we'll remove it from our website and future posts.

We keep your original photos and finished portrait for [12 months] after delivery so we can help with reprints or questions, then delete them. Ask us any time to delete them sooner.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the studio:

- Squarespace, which hosts our website, store and email.

- Payment processors, to take payment.

- [Printify and its print partners], to print and ship print orders.

- [Your email marketing provider, if different from Squarespace].

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email. To make a request, email [YOUR EMAIL].

Children

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
